Fontaine led the industry in the manufacture and fabrication of slide gates for many years prior to being acquired by REXNORD in 2009 and merged with Rodney Hunt. Eventually this arrangement did not last and many of the original Fontaine industry leading experts returned to the company when ISE Metal bought the company back in 2016.
